15 DAYS UGANDA TOUR (GORILLA TRACKING, WILDIFE & CHIMPS)
Day 1: Travel to Murchison falls
In the morning after breakfast, you will be picked from your Hotel in Kampala and then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. Visit the Nakasongora Rhino farm and have a view of the rhinos. Proceed to Masindi and make a stop for lunch in Masindi town. Then proceed to park and visit the fascinating top of Murchison falls. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari luxury Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge or Red Chili Camp.
Day 2: Wildlife Viewing and Boat cruise on the Nile
Wake up in the morning and have a morning game drive adventure and view some lions, leopard, giraffe, elephant, buffalo and hyenas. Return for lunch and in the afternoon, you will take an afternoon boat cruise on river Nile up to bottom of the falls seeing giraffe, lion, elephant, schools of hippos and many bird species like the broad shoe bill stork. Dinner and Overnight at Paraa Safari luxury Lodge/ Sambiya River Lodge/ Red Chili Camp.
Day 3: The Albertine Rift and Travel to Fortportal
After breakfast start off from Murchison Falls National Park for Fort portal. Heading Southwest wards through the Albertine rift, this journey takes you through beautiful scenic area characterized by escarpments of the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley. On reaching the colorful and beautiful Fort Portal town located in the shadow of the mythical Mountains of the Moon, Check in at Ndali Lodge / Primates Lodge/ Fort motel / Rwenzori View Guest House/Toro Resort or Bandas where you will have your dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest
Wake up early morning and have an early morning breakfast. Proceed to Kanyanchu Tourists centre for briefing and make some payments before you go to the park. Proceed to the park and search for chimpanzees. Return for lunch and then after go for a village walk to Bigodi Swamp Eco site sanctuary for more primate and bird watching. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/ Primates Lodge/ Fort motel/ Rwenzori View Guest House.
Day 5: Proceed to Semuliki National Park
After breakfast proceed to Semuliki National park in Bundibugyo viewing the scenic Rwenzori Mountains, the hot springs and if possible the pygmies. You will carry out a night game drive looking for the rare nocturnal species, leopards, Night jars etc Dinner and overnight at Semuliki Lodge.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early morning and have breakfast then go for a morning game drive before you proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana safari Lodge / Institute Hostel.
Day 7: Wildlife Tours in Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will have a morning game drive; have a chance to see the animals before they return to their hideouts. Return for lunch and in the afternoon take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel looking for variety of game and bird watching. Evening will be at Leisure. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana safari Lodge/ Institute Hostel.
Day 8: Chimpanzee and Primate watching
Following breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge depending on the chimpanzee permits available. After the game drive, you will continue to Bwindi Forest National Park. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest camp/ Gorilla Resort lodge/Kitandara Tented camp/ Buhoma Homestead or Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Primates Forest
Early morning following breakfast, you will go for gorilla tracking in the forest. Tracking takes 2 - 8 hours depending on the movement of these humble apes. You will return for lunch and have the afternoon relaxing. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest camp/ Gorilla Resort lodge/Kitandara Tented camp/ Buhoma Homestead or Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast proceed to Lake Bunyonyi at Acadia Cottages or Habuharo Lodge or Overland Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Bird Watching at Lake Bunyonyi
In the morning after breakfast, carryout a boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi and go to visit communities. The rest of the day will be for leisure. Dinner and overnight at Acadia Cottages or Habuharo Lodge or Overland Camp for overnight.
Day 12: Lake Mburo and Its wildife
Following breakfast early morning; you will drive to Lake Mburo National park. You will get there in the afternoon and take an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo looking for variety o bird species and game. Overnight at Mantana Tented camp or Mihingo Luxury lodge or Rwonyo Camp Bandas.
Day 13: Lake Mburo to Ssese Islands
After breakfast you will have a game drive looking for variety of wild life like zebras, buffalo, hyena etc . Check out and drive to Ssese Islands. Cross with ferry to the islands and check in at Ssese Island club or Pearl Gardens Resort.
Day 14: Ssesse Island Tours
You will do island activities today. Activities at the islands include sun bathing, beach activities, bird watching, sport fishing, nature walks, primate walks, community projects etc. You will choose what to do and pay directly the activities are optional. Dinner and overnight at Pearl Garden Beach/ Island Club.
Day 15: Kampala Airport transfer
Following breakfast, you will board the ferry to Entebbe in the morning and arrive at around mid day. Or use the Masaka road .Proceed to Kampala or to the airport for your home bound flight.
