UGANDA SAFARI - 13 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI TO UGANDA NATIONAL PARKS

This 13 days Uganda Safari takes you to the top safari destinations in Uganda: Ngamba Islands for chimpanzee viewing, Murchsion Falls, Kibale Forest national park, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Gorilla Forest and lake Mburo National Park. On this Uganda Safari, you will engage in different safari activities which include mountain gorilla tracking, wildlife / game viewing safari in Murchison, Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth as well as chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Moist forest.

UGANDA SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Entebbe - Ngamba Islands
Arrive Entebbe in the morning. You will be met by your safari guide and transfers you to the Boma Guest House. Then be transferred to the pier for the mid day Boat to  visit Ngamba Chimp Island.In the evening, you will return to Entebbe for Dinner  and overnight at the Boma Guest House.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Leave Kampala by0800hrs with your safari guide. Drive through the famous Luwero triangle for Murchison Falls, North Western Uganda. Take a stop over at Masindi hotel for lunch. Drive to the park through Budongo forest on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley in time to enjoy the fabulous falls where the Nile perfects its gorgeous falls concocts a deafening roar and rainbow in a spiral of the spray. Cross the great River Nile by a ferry before you retire to the superb comfort and service of Paraa Safari lodge.

Day 3: Game Viewing Safari in Murchison Falls Park
Have an early game drive starting at 7am. You are most likely to encounter Elephants, Buffaloes, Bushbucks, Lions, and a variety of bird species. After lunch, proceed for a two-hour launch cruise up to the substructure of the mighty Murchison falls where sinister water escapes from the narrow gorge, an opportunity to see the amazing hippos, crocodiles, water birds along the river banks enabling a wonderful birding safari

Day 4: Game Viewing Safari in Murchison Falls Park
Today you will have another Morning game drive in search of wildlife you could have missed in the previous drive. (There is also an option of going chimpanzee tracking at Pabidi in Budongo Forest at a small fee) and afternoon is reserved for resting in preparation of the tedious day

Day 5: Murchison Falls - Kibale, Western Uganda
After early breakfast, drive via the Albertaine Escarpment of the western Rift valley on the Masindi-Hoima-Fort portal road. This will be a long drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal, passing though verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the Fabled "Mountains of the Moon," Rwenzoris- the Journey is long! At least seven hours of driving. Dinner and overnight at Ndali safari Lodge

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking Safari in Kibale Forest
After breakfast, we shall drive to Kibale Forest N/P, for primate viewing. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. An half day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest's fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters. A walk to Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site is amazing, as we shall encounter rare and beautiful flora and fauna. After the walk we shall return to Ndali Lodge

Day 7: Connect to Queen Elizabeth, South Western Uganda
After  breakfast, Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey A game drive En route may be rewarded with views of Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. After lunch, go sightseeing in the crater region - it is a marvel! Visit the Katwe Salt works for a glimpse into traditional salt mining. Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari Lodge

Day 8: Widlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth
After a cup of coffee, embark on the morning Game drive which  may be rewarded with view of waterbucks, Elephants, Leopards, Lions,  Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 610 resident species

Day 9: Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth
Another Morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park in search missed wildlife in the previous game drive and then after drive to the southern sector of the park – the home of tree climbing Lions. As you drive along the road to Ishasha sector, animals such as the waterbucks, elephant, antelopes, buffalo, kobs, can be seen along the road

Day 10: The Ishasha & the Tree Climbing Lions
Morning game drive in Ishasha Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will go in search of tree climbing lions. After Lunch, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national Park renown for the fascinating Mountain gorillas

Overnight: Gorilla Forest Camp (FB)

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking Safari in Bwindi Gorilla Forest
There is an early morning entry into a gorilla sanctuary. The rainforest is spectacular as it offers a dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access for tourists. Recorded mammals here include the endangered mountain gorilla, the rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephants, black-fronted duikers, bushbucks, leopards, giant forest hogs as well as other animals. This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas, where the time taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time with and observing these gentle giant gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure that will leave you with long lasting memories of a truly unique experience. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Forest Camp in Bwindi.

Day 12: Game Viewing Safari in lake Mburo
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park and enter the Park through the Nshara Gate. The afternoon game drive will take you along the lakeshore track, and with its own system of game trails and cleared walkways, the "Kigambara Loop" offers interesting guided lakeside walks. Here you can find herds of zebra, cape buffalo and eland, and Pribi and topi are easy to approach. Along with the game drive, many visitors also enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo and self-guided nature trails. Bird watchers will enjoy more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including Papyrus Gonoleks, Brown-faced Lapwings, Carruther's Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced Go-away bird. You will return for dinner and first class service at Mantana tented camp


Day 13: Return Trip to Kampala
Head to Kampala, the drive back to Kampala stops at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers. Here you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs and you will arrive in Kampala before lunch.
