BWINDI GORILLA SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable
Wake up and have breakfast then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. The journey takes you south west of Uganda. You will make a stop at the equator, have a look at the local drum makers around the equator and you could also have a chance to buy the small drums as souvenirs and also take some photographs then continue to Mbarara. You will have a stop for lunch in Mbarara town and then proceed to Bwindi and get there in the late afternoon. In the evening you might go for a community walk where you will be entertained in some of the cultural dances of the community. Dinner and overnight at the Gorilla resort / Buhoma homestead / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking from the Forest
Wake up early morning, have light breakfast and then prepare to go for gorilla tracking. You will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and at 9:00 am you will set off to the forest to find these apes. The time you take searching for these humble apes is unpredictable however it ranges between 2-9 hours depending on their movement. The activity requires you to go through steep rocks climbing up and down making the activity a little bit tiresome. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma homestead.
Day 3: Depart to Kampala.
You will have breakfast in the morning and then proceed to Kampala. Have a stop in any of the districts for lunch and you will reach Kampala in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana / Serena hotel.
