GROUP SAFARI: 3 DAYS QUEEN ELIZABETH WILDLIFE SAFARI

The Tour takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park QENP; Kyambura and kigezi Wild life reserves form one of the most diverse Eco systems in Africa. Queen Elizabeth TourThis park is a home to a diversity of habitats which include lowland forest, savanna and Wetlands. The Park has a remarkable diversity of birds with over 550 species, creating the largest birders' Paradise, of any protected area in Africa. There are eleven fishing village enclaves within the protected area. The lake shore lines of the 2 main lakes George and Edward being channeled by the mighty Kazinga Channel congregate thousands of hippos. The patent Savannah speckled with Acacia and Euphorbia trees furnish a dwelling for Elephants, Lions, and Leopards, big herds of buffaloes, the Uganda Kob, and many others.

TOUR ITINERARY

DAY ONE: To Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast, our tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Kampala at 7.00am and set off on the southwards to Masaka. You will have a stop to look at the Royal Drum makers, then also at the Equator where an experiment that illustrates that it is the real equator will be demonstrated to you as explanation will follow.  Have lunch at in Mbarara and then continue through the lush hills to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening. Have a game drive as enroute and if you are lucky you will encounter various animals like Elephants, antelopes like topis and many others.  Dinner and over night at either Albertine River camp / Hippo hill basic camps. DAY TWO:   The launch cruise along the Kazinga channel
Take a cup of coffee to heat up your body and then at 0600, go for an early morning game drive along the Queens mile or the Kasenyi miles Tracks. You
will search for animals like Elephants, Lions, Leopards, and Hyenas among others. Return to the lodge for mid morning breakfast. Take lunch and then
go for the afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. Hippos breathe and squirt mere feet away from the boat, Buffalo loiter in the, shores and
shallow ends of the channel as a   stunning variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores. Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and
Long-Tailed Cormorants, African Jacana, Open-Billed Stork, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers are commonly seen. February and March offer spectacular
sightings of some of the bird migrants. Return for dinner and over night at your lodge. (FB)

DAY THREE: Back to Kampala
This morning you either have an option of Chimpanzee tracking USD 50 (subject to booking in advance in order for us to secure chimpanzee permits) or drive back to Kampala. END OF SAFARI.

Extra Activities:
There is an optional activity of chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge at
USD 50 per person on day three in the morning before driving back to Kampala.  It must be booked as soon as you confirm to sign up.

Accommodation Highlights:
In terms of accommodation, the price quote given is based on the budget. The budget type of accommodation is in basic facilities such as hotels/lodges which are structures built separate from each other and may not be self contained.   You however do not need to carry a sleeping back because they have a bed, mattress and mosquitoes net and blanket. 

Included are: Park entry fees, the launch cruise, game drives, Full board accommodations, Ground transportation in a 4x4 vehicle each of you with a window seat. Services of full time English speaking driver guide, Fuel costs and ferry crossing.

 Excluded are; Visa fees, tips, accommodation in Kampala, optional activities, laundry fees and any other personal expenses not included in the list above.
